This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Furlingo mobile application (“App”), and your rights under applicable laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).

By using Furlingo, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Information We Collect

  • A. Pet Profile Information: Pet name, breed, species, gender, age, and birthday

  • B. User Information: First name, last name, and email address (collected during sign-up)

  • C. Images:

    • Photos of pets uploaded by users

    • Camera-captured images during pet scanning

  • D. Scan Results: AI-generated analysis of pet mood and behavior insights (for informational purposes only)

  • E. Pet Metrics: Weight entries and scan history with timestamps

  • F. Device Information: Basic technical information such as device type, operating system, and crash logs

  • G. Usage Analytics: Anonymous usage data to improve performance and user experience

  • H. Local Storage: Cached data stored on your device via AsyncStorage

  • I. Subscription & Billing Information: We do not collect or process payment details; subscription status is managed securely through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and RevenueCat.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Operate and improve the App

  • Provide personalized AI-driven pet insights

  • Display and manage pet profiles and history

  • Respond to user queries via the virtual pet assistant

  • Send local notifications (e.g., trial reminders, pet birthdays)

  • Enable users to manage subscriptions via device settings

  • Diagnose bugs and enhance app stability

  • Comply with legal and regulatory obligations

Note: We do not use your data for advertising, marketing, or user tracking, and we do not send push or marketing notifications.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

  • Service Providers: such as OpenAI (for AI processing), Firebase (cloud storage and authentication), RevenueCat (subscription management), and Expo (app infrastructure)

  • Legal Authorities: if required to comply with applicable laws

  • Business Transfers: in case of merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

4. Third-Party Services

Furlingo integrates with trusted third-party services:

  • OpenAI API – to process scans and provide behavioral insights (no personally identifiable data is stored beyond API processing)

  • Firebase (Google) – for secure cloud storage and user authentication

  • Expo/EAS – for app deployment and diagnostics

  • RevenueCat – for managing subscription status syncing

  • AsyncStorage – for local device data caching

  • Device Camera and Gallery – for image capture and upload

Each third party maintains their own privacy policies. We ensure all integrations are secure and compliant with relevant laws.

Furlingo is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we discover that such data has been collected, it will be deleted immediately.
